Biquette has been modernized through a combination of aftermarket products and services. Below is a list of some of the more important components and their suppliers.


Custom Buick big-block engine

Custom big-block Buick engine built by TA Performance and installed by Orinda Motors (Orinda Classic Car Center).

Engine is based on a Buick 430 cubic inch displacement engine that first went into production in 1967.


Displacement:

445 cubic inches (7.3 litres)

Bore:

4.250 inches

Stroke:

3.924 inches

Bore to stroke ratio:

1.08

Cylinder heads:

TA Performance Stage-2 aluminum heads.  Improved versions of the Buick cast iron Stage-2 heads of the 1970s.

Camshaft:

TA Performance hydraulic roller camshaft (similar to the Buick muscle car Stage-1 cam of the 1970s)  214/213.5@.50 on a 113 LC mid .500 lifts.

Rockers:

TA Performance roller rockers: 1.6 ratio

Intake manifold:

Edelbrock B4B

Exhaust headers:

TA Performance 2" competition headers (TA 2014CHC.)  Headers coated with Jet-Hot Ultra Extreme 2500 ceramic protection.

Static compression ratio:

9.65:1

EFI:

Electronic fuel injection throttle-body with ignition control.  ECU parameters expertly tuned for optimal performance.  See following table for additional details.

Peak horsepower:

~500 horsepower

Peak torque:

~530 foot-pounds
